Run Norwich entrants can now transfer their place to another participant

Following last month’s race postponement to Sunday 23^rd October 2022, Run Norwich entrants can now transfer their place to another participant if they are unable to make the new race date.

This can be done via the MyEvents portal on ACTIVE.

Alternatively, a refund request process will begin on Monday 8^th August.

Transfers now open

Details of how to transfer your place can be found here.

Please ensure transfers are only done via the MyEvents portal on ACTIVE; no other details beyond an email address should be passed between the transferer and the transferee.

The Run Norwich Community group on Facebook is a great place to advertise your place.

All transfers must be completed by 1^st September.

Refund window

A refund request window will open on Monday 8^th August at 12pm running through to Friday 12^th August (12pm). Click here to apply for a refund.

We will endeavour to work through refunds as quickly as we can, but please be aware that refunds may take between 2-4 weeks to appear in your bank account – this is because we need to transfer the appropriate funds from the charity’s bank account back into our Active account to process the refunds. There will then be considerable admin for our team to process refunds for those who requested them. So, please bear with us!

Refund requests will need to be made via an online form, which will be shared on Monday 8^th August.

Please do consider securing a transfer instead, as the refund is instantaneous once the transferee has paid for their place on ACTIVE.

Entry window

Once the refund window has finished, and subject to availability, a general entry and charity entry window will open.

If you’d like to hear about these entry windows, please ensure you are registered on the Run Norwich mailing list (sign-up here).  Alternatively, we’d suggest trying to secure a transfer on the Run Norwich Community group on Facebook.

Additional details

• Entrants can now make edits to their entry via MyEvents on their ACTIVE account. This includes purchasing merchandise, updating address details, changing your estimated finish time, and more. Details on how to do so, can be found here. Edits can be made up to 1^st September 2022.
• As a reminder, if you were previously sent a race bib by us this can be discarded.  A new bib will be designed and distributed to our runners for October.
• If you are a current official or partner charity entrant, and unable to run on the new race date, please communicate with your charity regarding next steps.
