Your guide to travel and road closures on race day

We recommend getting into the city with lots of time to spare. If possible, we advise runners to walk or cycle into the city centre. Some roads will be closed from 7am due to the event, and there will be parking restrictions in the city centre area.

Park n’ Ride

Extra Park n’ Ride buses, operated by Konectbus, will be in service from the Airport and Thickthorn sites to help transport runners and spectators into the city.

Running every 15/20 minutes from 7am, Airport P&R will operate to/from a temporary bus stop in Duke Street (near Premier Inn) and Thickthorn P&R will operate to/from Norwich Bus Station.

Car parking

If you wish to park a vehicle in the city centre on race day, check out our map here.

A number of car parks will be adjusting their opening hours to accommodate the race, including Castle Quarter (6am), Chantry Place (7am) and John Lewis (7.30am).

Note: The Forum car park is closed, as it is reserved for race volunteers.

Taxis

The taxi rank on Gaol Hill will operate as per usual, while the rank usually located in Tombland will be closed between 8am and 12pm.

Road closures and parking restrictions

Some roads will be closed from 7am due to the event, and there will be parking restrictions in the city centre area from Saturday night.
