Entries to open next week

Run Norwich entries will open soon for charity and general entrants.

There will be a 24-hour charity priority window for those who wish to run on behalf of the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation; this opens at 9am on Wednesday 28^th February.

General entry will follow the very next morning – opening at 9am on Thursday 29^th February.

Moving to a new autumnal slot, Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s annual 10-kilometre race will take place on the morning of Sunday 8^th of September.

Competition for places is expected to be as fierce as always for what will be the eighth iteration of the race, with a total of 8,500 spots up for grabs.

Charity entry

Entries open from 9am on Wednesday 28^th February.

Those who choose to run for the official charity and event organisers, the Community Sports Foundation, can enter for free under the proviso the entrant reaches a fundraising target of £100, with your initial £10 deposit deducted from this fundraising total.

Incentives include a free charity t-shirt, access to a VIP area in the Race Village and a range of additional extras, including free use of the Riverside Leisure Centre pool and gym on Sunday afternoons.

General entry

Entries open from 9am on Thursday 29^th February.

Race route

This year’s race route remains unchanged, with the 10-kilometre course starting from outside the Norwich Theatre Royal and concluding outside of City Hall.

Supporting the community

Entry is £30 for UK Athletics affiliated entry and £32 for general entry.

As ever, any proceeds generated from the race will support the Community Sports Foundation’s charitable work in the community. Initiatives the charity runs include its Run For Me programme – a free mental wellbeing running group that meets weekly at The Nest.

Running for your own cause

If you’d like to run for a charity or cause close to your heart, you’ll need to secure a general entry place first.

Once you’ve secured entry, contact your charity or cause; they may be able to support you with your fundraising.
