Run Norwich 2022 will set off from Theatre Royal, with their cafe offering a special discount for participating runners

A quick reminder to all involved – Run Norwich will set off from a new start line location this year on Theatre Street, as previously planned for the 2020 race.

The start gantry, formerly positioned on Gentleman’s Walk, will be erected outside the Theatre Royal building.

The distance lost with the move will be made up with a section of new course, which includes Surrey Street, All Saints Green and Westlegate.

This will take runners past Aviva’s historic Surrey House building, the bus station and department store John Lewis, before re-joining the existing route at Red Lion Street.

The new starting point offers a great vantage point for spectators to view from the balconies and get a drink at Café Royal at Norwich Theatre Royal.

Café Royal will open both upstairs and down from 08:00 to 13:00 on the race day and will offer a 10% discount for all runners upon presentation of their medal after the race.

All balcony spaces will be available for the public to view the start of the race from – with the balcony closest to the start line being exclusively reserved for accessible viewing only.
