Information on race day transport

With 5,000 runners and thousands more spectators expected in Norwich on race day, it is important that you plan your journey in advance.

Details of the best places to park in the town centre, the special Park & Ride service and links to various public transport service websites can all be found below:

Park n’ Ride

Norwich Park n’ Ride will be operating service 501 (Airport & Thickthorn) to a special timetable of 7am till 5pm on race day. Due to the road closures, Airport pick up/drop off will be at Duke Street, and Thickthorn pick up/drop off will be at the Bus Station. The buses will run every 15 minutes.  More here.

Car

Three city centre car-parks (intu Chapelfield, Castle Mall & John Lewis) will open early on race-day to provide parking options for runners arriving in the city. Gates will open at 7am at Castle Mall and intu Chapelfield and at 7.30am at John Lewis.

Castle Mall has kindly offered free parking to the first 700 customers on raceday (between 7am and 12 noon). Details here.

A Norwich City Council map of car park locations is available here.

There will be a number of road closures taking place in the heart of the city along the route, so be sure to familarise yourself with them here if you are planning on driving in.
